Mold Kit Instructions
This Mold Kit Instructions page applies to mold kits provided by ICEGIANT / theigt.com for custom grillz orders.
The mold kit is provided only for customers to submit fit information for custom decorative oral jewelry production. It is not a dental treatment, dental procedure, orthodontic service, medical device, or substitute for professional dental care.
1. Important Notice Before You Start
Please read all instructions carefully before using the mold kit.
- Use the mold kit only for submitting fit information for your custom grillz order.
- ICEGIANT does not provide dental diagnosis, dental treatment, orthodontic services, oral health assessments, or medical advice.
- ICEGIANT does not directly supervise, perform, or provide in-person guidance for the molding process.
- If you have braces, retainers, implants, loose teeth, gum disease, oral pain, recent dental treatment, or any dental concerns, consult a licensed dental professional before using the mold kit.
- If you feel pain, bleeding, irritation, allergic reaction, choking risk, or discomfort during the molding process, stop immediately and consult a licensed dental professional.
2. What the Mold Kit Is Used For
The mold kit helps you create impressions of your teeth so our production team can review your fit information and make custom grillz based on your order details.
A clear and accurate mold is important. Poor, shallow, incomplete, distorted, or damaged molds may delay production, require a new mold kit, or affect the final fit of your grillz.
3. Before Taking Your Mold
Before using the mold kit, please make sure to:
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Brush and rinse your mouth before taking the mold.
- Use the mold kit in a clean, well-lit area.
- Read the instructions fully before mixing any materials.
- Check whether you are taking a top mold, bottom mold, or both, based on your order.
- Prepare a timer, mirror, and clean surface before starting.
Once the putty or impression material is mixed, it may begin to set quickly. Be ready before you start.
4. General Mold-Taking Steps
The exact kit contents may vary, but the general process is usually as follows:
- Prepare the tray: Choose the tray size that fits your mouth comfortably.
- Mix the impression material: Mix the provided materials according to the included kit instructions until the color and texture are even.
- Place material into the tray: Spread the material evenly inside the tray.
- Insert the tray carefully: Place the tray over your teeth and press evenly. Do not bite through the tray.
- Hold still: Keep the tray steady until the impression material sets.
- Remove gently: Carefully remove the tray without twisting or deforming the mold.
- Check the mold: Make sure the tooth shapes, gum line, and edges are clear and deep enough.
- Repeat if needed: If your kit includes extra material, take another mold if the first one is unclear, shallow, or distorted.
Do not rush the process. A better mold helps reduce delays and improves the chance of a better fit.
5. What a Good Mold Should Look Like
A usable mold should generally show:
- Clear tooth shapes;
- Visible gum line;
- Enough depth around the teeth;
- No major holes, tears, folds, or missing areas;
- No severe distortion from movement or pulling too early;
- The full area needed for your custom grillz order.
If the mold is too shallow, blurry, incomplete, or distorted, our team may ask you to retake the mold or purchase an additional mold kit.
6. Photo and Video Review
Before shipping your mold back, we may ask you to send clear photos or videos of your mold for review.
When taking photos, please use bright lighting and show:
- The full mold from the front;
- The left and right sides;
- The inside surface where the teeth marks appear;
- Any area that may be unclear or incomplete.
Photo or video review does not guarantee final fit, but it may help us identify obvious mold issues before production.
7. Returning Your Mold
After your mold is completed and approved for return, package it carefully to avoid damage during shipping.
- Do not bend, squeeze, cut, or modify the mold.
- Keep the mold clean and dry before packaging.
- Use the return instructions provided by our team.
- Include your order number or customer information if requested.
- Use a trackable shipping method when sending molds back.
ICEGIANT is not responsible for molds lost, damaged, delayed, or distorted during return shipping unless otherwise required by applicable law.
8. Mold Review and Production Timeline
For custom grillz, production time does not begin when the order is placed. Production begins only after all required order details, usable mold materials, fit information, design approvals, CAD approvals, or other required information have been received and reviewed.
If your mold is accepted, your order may move into design review, CAD or mock-up review, production preparation, and manufacturing.
If your mold is not usable, production may be delayed until a usable mold or acceptable fit information is provided.
9. Mold Kit Time Limits
Custom grillz orders cannot remain open indefinitely.
- Deposit orders: If your order was placed with a partial deposit, your order and quoted price may be held for up to 45 days. If the balance is not paid or usable mold / fit information is not provided within this period, the order may be closed as inactive or abandoned.
- Fully paid orders: For fully paid custom grillz orders, customers should return usable mold or fit information within 180 days from the mold kit shipment date.
Inactive or abandoned orders may be subject to the terms described in our Return, Refund, Remake, and Repair Policy.
10. Safety and Hygiene
For safety and hygiene reasons:
- Do not share your mold kit with another person.
- Do not reuse impression material once it has been used or set.
- Do not swallow, chew, or intentionally ingest any mold kit material.
- Keep the mold kit away from young children and pets.
- Use the kit only as instructed.
If you experience any allergic reaction, irritation, pain, bleeding, choking risk, or discomfort, stop using the mold kit immediately and consult a licensed dental professional.
11. Minors
Custom grillz and mold kits are not intended for young children. If a minor uses a mold kit or orders custom grillz, a parent or legal guardian should review the product, assess suitability, approve the order, and supervise safe use.
Parents or guardians are responsible for determining whether the mold kit and custom grillz are appropriate for the minor’s age, oral condition, maturity, and ability to use the product safely.
12. Customer Responsibility
By using the mold kit, you agree that you are responsible for following the instructions, providing accurate mold or fit information, and stopping use if the process feels unsafe or uncomfortable.
Delays, additional costs, remake requests, or fit issues may occur if the mold or fit information you provide is incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, damaged, distorted, or unsuitable for production.
Nothing in these instructions limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
